Estate Planning

Jenei & Cohen recognizes the great importance of providing a comprehensive estate plan to assist clients in reaching their goals of providing for their families in the event of death.  Every client meets exclusively with an attorney to discuss their individual needs.  The attorney then works with that client, and the client’s financial planners and accountants when appropriate, to craft a plan that is best suited for the client’s unique circumstances, including a thorough analysis of the tax consequences of the client’s estate plan.  While a Will may suffice in some instances, many times the client and attorney need to discuss and consider other planning strategies, which may include the implementation of a Living Trust, Irrevocable Trust, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trust (ILIT), Qualified Personal Residence Trust (QPRT), Family Limited Partnership (FLP) or other estate planning device.  A General Durable Power of Attorney and Healthcare Power of Attorney / Advanced Directive is prepared for every Estate Planning client, if requested.
